Anat Baniel's page on Cerebral Palsy

Anat Baniel is a very successful practitioner and trainer working with people of all ages and especially children with development difficulties. She trained from her early twenties directly with Moshe Feldenkrais. She first met him when she was a child and Feldenkrais was a friend and colleague of her father. In recent years she has committed herself to her own synthesis, the Anat Baniel Method. It is fully based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais.

Feldenkrais in Movement Therapy

Ilana Nevill, a Feldenkrais Practitioner and Assistant Trainer who currently lives in the southwest of France, visited a clinic for children with special needs in Hamburg, Germany in late 1991. There she witnessed senior therapist Meike Weitermeier working with Jana, a two year old girl with CP. Nevill also interviewed Ursula Reuter, a second senior therapist. Both Germans have trained in Feldenkrais and related approaches. They show what fine work can be done through deep sensitivity to the child and seasoned knowledge of the process of growth.
