Who can benefit

Good for everyone
The Feldenkrais Method is good for everyone.
Most people who seek it out are in pain, or looking for improvement in how they move.
What is unique about Feldenkrais is its manner. It is an investigation and proceeds, at least in the beginning, slowly. Also, it is a training approach; it is about learning. It is not a medical approach; it is not about treatment. To get benefit from the Method, you have find the  approach interesting.
At the same time, you don’t have to know in advance that you will like it! Nobody knows what Feldenkrais is before they try it. You have to try one session. In one session you can get a sense whether this is a good path for you.
Within this umbrella of being in sync with the approach, here are five types of situations where the Feldenkrais Method can often help.
1. Chronic pain
When it has been going on for a long time, that your neck hurts, or your shoulder, or your knee, or any other part of the body, there is a good chance that Feldenkrais can help.
2. Better Posture
When you want to improve your posture, Feldenkrais can help.
3. Neurological Conditions
When you are living with a neurological condition that affects your movement, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Post Polio Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s Disease, or are recovering from stroke, Feldenkrais can help.
4. Joy of movement
When you want to expand your joy in movement, whether because you love to try new things or because you have dissociated from the body and wish to re-inhabit the physical self, Feldenkrais can help.
5. Relief from stress
When you want to calm down, learn how to relax, improve your breathing, sleep better and similar, Feldenkrais can help.
One reason the Feldenkrais Method can help people with such a wide variety of situations is that the Method is very progressive. As Feldenkrais said,
“The goal is to make the impossible, possible; the possible, comfortable; and the comfortable, elegant and aesthetically satisfying.”
